Dancing Gummi Bear

I'm happy to announce that Kermit has now been upgraded to Gummi Bear status.

We had our second ultrasound yesterday and we could see a much more recognizable shape of the little one. And as an added bonus, Kermit was dancin' around in there. If you can imagine a gummi bear dancing the Cabbage Patch with it's stubby little arms and legs and head boppin' - then you've pretty much imagined the performance we were so fortunate to witness.

It's getting exciting !!!

Oh- and the official last word from the doctor is a due date of March 30th, 2009.

Kermit Hates Me!

After getting a copy of my first ultrasound from the doctor, I now lovingly refer to the baby as "Kermit" - because the pic looks a little froggy to me.

Everyone keeps telling me that morning sickness is a great sign that everything is going well with the pregnancy. But I have never known nausea, gagging, and heaving up last night's dinner as being something to celebrate. Oh boy - the first of many little baby "blessings" to look forward to. I guess dirty diapers will be a festival of fun. lol.

For now, Kermit has my appetite held hostage. My favorite foods are revolting and the word BACON makes me angry (shudder). I guess that makes this a positive report of baby news. So nibble a cracker and take a toasting swig of Ginger Ale - "To Kermit"!

We're baaack!!!!

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Let the games begin. The doctor has given this one the stamp of approval, and if nausea is any indication...we're on the right track. I got to hear the heartbeat and it's a good one. I'll keep you posted as the news rolls in!
