The Tell Tale Ultrasound

Today was a very exciting day in preggo-land. We had the tell tale ultrasound. I prepared by having an Egg McMuffin breakfast - small coke included (we wanted the baby to be awake to get the most motion and chance for seeing everything). Well, the kid was dancing around like crazy! And I couldn't feel any of it...people have been asking if I can feel it moving, and as far as I can tell the little one is asleep all the time. Not the case! The gummi bear, formally known as Kermit, was dancin', kickin', punchin', and rollin' all around.
We got a very good look at the nose and mouth, little arms, legs, hands, and feet. Most friends and family have inquired about what we want it to be, boy or girl. We just want a healthy baby. So, I was more concerned about the checklist of vital pieces and functioning parts. Heart - check - brain - check - stomach - check - liver - check - spine - check.
Next it was time to reveal the big secret. Which name will we use when the baby is born?
Leave it to our kid to be as uncooperative as possible. Kermit was covering up. The technician started poking me in the belly and jiggling me all around to get a better view. Finally all was revealed...
We are excitedly expecting the arrival of Weston, our son!
